Fashion / Editorial Cinematography
I selected this frame because of the relationship between the subject, the surrounding architecture, and the natural elegance of the moment. Fashion cinematography, to me, is not simply about showcasing what someone is wearing. It is about capturing the confidence, individuality, and presence that give the image its identity.
What draws me to this composition is the balance between the subject and her environment. The architectural lines create a sense of depth, while the wardrobe and expression establish a strong visual focal point. I wanted the frame to feel effortless yet intentional, allowing the image to communicate without needing excessive movement or distraction.
This is the kind of storytelling I continue to pursue: imagery where every detail contributes to the overall feeling.
Visual Study / Cinematography
I have always believed that some of the most meaningful images are found in the details people might otherwise overlook. I selected this frame because it represents an important part of my approach to cinematography: understanding that storytelling does not always require a face, a wide composition, or an obvious action.
The texture, contrast, and simplicity of this image invite the viewer to look closer. Rather than revealing everything, the frame creates a moment of curiosity, allowing the smallest visual elements to become the subject themselves.
As a filmmaker, I want to develop an eye that recognizes the importance of these quieter moments. Every texture, shadow, and highlight has the potential to contribute something meaningful to a larger visual story.
Spec Commercial / Cinematography
This frame represents my interest in creating commercial imagery that feels grounded in a story rather than simply presenting a product. What attracted me to this composition was the interaction between the subjects, the environment, and the recognizable visual identity of the brand.
I wanted the imagery to carry a sense of authenticity, using the relationship between movement and stillness to give the scene its own personality. The open space, restrained composition, and separation between the subjects allow the viewer to observe the moment without feeling overwhelmed.
Working on this project reminded me that strong commercial cinematography is not always about creating the most complicated shot. Sometimes, it is about understanding what belongs in the frame, what should remain outside it, and how those decisions influence the audience’s experience.
Cinematic Portrait / Visual Storytelling
I chose this frame because of how much emotion can exist within a single expression. There is something powerful about allowing a subject to occupy the frame without surrounding them with unnecessary visual elements.
The close composition creates an intimate connection between the subject and the viewer, while the softness of the image gives the moment a more personal and atmospheric quality. I am particularly drawn to the way light shapes the face and how subtle variations in expression can completely change the feeling of an image.
My intention with portrait-driven cinematography is to create a sense of connection. I want viewers to feel as though they are witnessing something personal, even when they know very little about the person in front of the camera.
For me, the strongest portraits are not necessarily the most technically complicated. They are the ones that make someone stop and feel something.
Creative Film / Cinematography
This is one of the types of compositions that continues to inspire my approach to filmmaking. I selected this frame because of the natural separation between the subject and the environment, created through the contrast of a darker foreground and the warmth of the distant sky.
What interests me most is how natural light can completely transform the emotional character of a scene. The silhouette gives the subject a strong presence, while the surrounding space creates a sense of openness and atmosphere.
I wanted the image to feel cinematic without relying on excessive visual elements. The horizon, the direction of light, and the placement of the subject all contribute to a composition that feels quiet but purposeful.
This frame reflects something I value deeply as a cinematographer: learning when to allow the environment to do the storytelling and when the strongest creative decision is simply knowing where to place the camera.
Fitness / Lifestyle Cinematography
I selected this frame because it represents my interest in the relationship between physical movement and visual composition. Fitness cinematography offers an opportunity to explore form, energy, discipline, and the smaller moments that often go unnoticed within a larger sequence.
What stands out to me in this image is the way the body creates its own shapes and lines within the composition. The framing brings attention to movement and form, while the surrounding light and color contribute to the overall atmosphere.
My goal with this type of filmmaking is to move beyond traditional fitness content and create something that feels more intentional and cinematic. I want the viewer to experience the physicality of the moment while also appreciating the visual details that make it unique.
Every movement has its own rhythm, and I believe a cinematographer’s responsibility is to recognize that rhythm and translate it into imagery that feels purposeful.
Sportswear / Lifestyle Production
Featuring Melissa, Mia & Aria Hutchinson
Cinematography by Jacob Penner
Working alongside KILOH.CO on a production featuring Melissa Hutchinson and her daughters, Mia and Aria, the family of Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson, was an opportunity to capture something beyond the traditional presentation of a clothing brand.
I chose this particular frame because of the genuine connection shared between the three of them. Their expressions, laughter, and closeness bring a natural sense of warmth and personality to the image. What makes this moment meaningful to me is that it doesn’t feel overly staged or manufactured. It feels human.
As a cinematographer, I believe some of the strongest visual moments happen when you allow people to simply be themselves. Rather than focusing entirely on the clothing or the commercial elements of the production, I wanted to recognize the small details that make an image feel alive.
The simplicity of the environment, the balance of the composition, and the natural interaction between the three women create a frame that communicates connection without needing an elaborate setup.
This is why I selected this image for my portfolio. It represents the importance of observation, patience, and understanding that meaningful storytelling can exist within the smallest moments.
For me, cinematography is not only about what the camera captures. It’s about recognizing what makes a moment worth remembering.

01 — CREATIVE APPROACH
Every production begins with a vision. My approach to cinematography is rooted in storytelling, intention, and attention to detail. Each project is treated as an individual creative process, with consideration given to composition, lighting, movement, atmosphere, and emotion.
I believe meaningful work comes from collaboration, preparation, and the freedom to explore ideas while maintaining a clear artistic direction.
02 — BOOKING & AVAILABILITY
All productions are scheduled in advance and subject to availability. Project details, filming dates, locations, and expectations must be confirmed before production begins.
I take on projects selectively to ensure that each receives the time, focus, and creative attention it deserves.
03 — COMMUNICATION & COLLABORATION
Clear communication is an essential part of every production. Creative direction, references, schedules, and expectations should be discussed before filming.
I value working with individuals, brands, and creative teams who respect the collaborative process and understand the importance of preparation.
04 — PRODUCTION & CREATIVE DIRECTION
Every production is approached with an established creative vision. While collaboration and input are always welcomed, final cinematographic decisions are guided by the agreed concept and the needs of the project.
Lighting, framing, camera movement, and visual composition are carefully considered to maintain a consistent artistic direction.
05 — POST-PRODUCTION & REVISIONS
Editing is an extension of the storytelling process. Color grading, pacing, sound, and visual continuity are approached with the same level of intention as production.
Revisions are considered within the original creative scope. Significant changes to an approved concept or completed production may require a separate agreement.
06 — DELIVERY & ORIGINAL MATERIAL
Completed films are delivered digitally in the formats established before production.
Original camera files, unedited footage, and project files are not included in standard deliverables unless specifically agreed upon beforehand.
07 — RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
Changes to confirmed production dates should be communicated as early as possible. Rescheduling is subject to availability, location access, and production requirements.
Unexpected circumstances will be handled through direct communication and mutual consideration.
08 — CREATIVE OWNERSHIP & USAGE
Copyright, licensing, distribution, and promotional usage are determined by the individual project agreement.
The use of completed work in portfolios, websites, and social media will follow the permissions and terms established with the client or collaborating team.

I am committed to maintaining a respectful, organized, and collaborative environment where everyone involved has the opportunity to contribute to the creative process.
10 — FINAL STATEMENT
My work is an ongoing exploration of visual storytelling. Every frame, movement, and creative decision serves a purpose.
